Types Of Bingo
When you think of bingo, do you think of just one game? Do you picture someone calling out numbers while people hunch over their cards, checking off the numbers as their called, waiting and hoping to cross off all of the numbers they have? Well, that certainly is one type of bingo, but there are actually several different types of bingo that are played in bingo halls all over the world (and all over the internet). The types of bingo played in any are depends on a few different factors. One factor is where the game is taking place. There are regional variations in bingo games, and some games are more popular in some locales than others. Another factor is how many people are playing and how many numbers are going to be called; large games with many people and many numbers usually require some juggling so they don’t go on for too long. Another thing that figures into what type of bingo game is played is the prize involved. Games with mega jackpots are usually played in a certain way. There is no one type of bingo that is better than the others; it merely depends on your skill level and how you like to play. The Types Of Bingo The most common type of bingo is called “regular” bingo, appropriately enough. This is the kind of bingo everyone has played at least once, that involves players who play with one bingo card checking off numbers as their called to try and achieve a pre-set bingo pattern to win the game. The second most common type of bingo is called combination bingo. In combination bingo, players can play with more than one bingo card, and there is in essence a combination of different games going on, because there is more than one bingo pattern that can win the game. In progressive bingo, the calls don’t go on all night like they do in some bingo games. The caller chooses a set number of calls to make, and if there is no winner after those numbers are called, the game is over. Any money in the jackpot rolls over to the next jackpot, until there is a winner. Lastly, there is a pre-called game, in which some of the calls were made before the game actually starts. Players are told which numbers to cross off their cards in the beginning of the game to get things going. Pre-called games are usually used when there is a very large jackpot on offer. |
